midnight snacks
Xiangling has experimented with Qingxin flowers before, of course, but they'd never quite turned out so hot (and given her dad a nasty bout of stomach trouble for a night or so). Far from being deterred, she's just convinced that she'd been cooking them wrong, her usual response to cooking setbacks of any kind.
She's curious about something she'd overheard from Ganyu, the secretary to the Qixing, a half-asleep murmur about how incredibly delicious the Qingxin flowers were that grew on towering Qingyun Peak. And sure, that's the abode of the adepti and technically humans are forbidden from entering, but her girlfriend's good chums with all of those spirits! It won't be a problem if they go in together, right?
Some pleading and shining doe eyes at Lumine later, the outcome was never in doubt.
Which is why Xiangling is ignoring the sweat on her brow and the muscle soreness that comes with climbing those steep Nantianmen mountains, rushing around the flat top of one of Qingyun's smaller peaks. "Ah, there's so many of them! They grow so easily here, Lumine! Look, look!"
She has a basket for picking flowers in one hand and her girlfriend in the other and is not intending to slow down anytime soon.
Fortunately for Xiangling, the sleepy whisperings of a secretary will prove to be true; the Qingxin flowers here are indeed delicious and much easier to prepare than ones that grow in warmer, lower-lying regions of Liyue. Unfortunately for Xiangling, she doesn't know that said secretary is half-Adeptus, and the Adeptal energy seeping out of this mystical region, which makes the flowers so tasty, might have different results on the biology of a human.
Well, she'll find that out later.

No, you're right. Eating them as-is might be too low-effort. [ and if anyone goes all-out when it comes to food, it's definitely xiangling. ] But now I kind of feel bad for making you try one, should I eat one too so we're even? [ they're such beautiful flowers after all. and maybe there's this slight, inexplicable desire to, when she sees something lovely like a flower, maybe bring it to her mouth--
she blinks. there's something about maybe even the scent of qingxin that might be affecting her somewhat, when they've gathered this much. ]
We don't have to go to the harbor, I have the teapot! [ and even before she'd had her own little personal domain, she'd been used to camping and roughing it anyway. ] As long as Guoba's around, we can make a fire. And if you want a full kitchen, I have one in the teapot realm.
Should we head there, or try cooking up here in the mountains? [ the vistas and wilderness and view here really is unmatched in her opinion, even by the dreamlike scenery of the teapot. ]

Xiangling claps her hands together at the suggestion.] The teapot, I'd forgotten about that! If it's not too much trouble, could we? We'll be super tired and sweaty by the time we get back to Liyue, and that's no fun to eat dinner like that. [At least, not with your partner.]
Guoba loves it there, too! Could we, please? [Again come the puppy eyes.
Not that she's opposed to making her own camp- and cook-fire, but come on, the teapot is so cool.]

So, let's go~ [ with no further ado, she happily withdraws the teapot and ushers them into the domain with a waft of smoke from the spout.
she has to admit, the little personal domain is incredibly handy in comparison to camping and she particularly likes to personalize it whenever she has a spare moment. there are times she styles everything within to mond-style buildings, to an eclectic mix of furnishings tubby offers, and... recently, she's been trying her hand at creating something tea-housey, which she hopes has a bit of a homey feel to it. she'd be particularly happy to show it off to xiangling, from the outdoor low tables to the fish pond to every other amenity in between. ]
wtf that teapot is gorgeous
And the pot! She'll never get tired of the magical experience of being drawn in to the smoke, to standing one place one moment and a completely different place the next. It's absolutely wonderous.
But this is new! She hasn't seen this variant before. Her eyes widen and sparkle.] Ah--!
It's pretty! It's so pretty! When'd you change it? [She turns to Lumine, clasping her hands in excitement.] This is all stuff from Inazuma, right?
