Keqing’s expression slips into something just slightly sheepish, but maybe that’s only natural; they might be dating, so she should probably be used to it by now, but Xiangling’s smile (not to mention her praise) has the curious habit of making her feel like she’s just shy of being bowled right over.
Which is… probably just a fancy way of saying that she thinks it’s impossibly cute. Ah, well.
“… I- I’m glad that I was able to help,” she mumbles, perhaps a bit lamely, as she moves to drop the other peppers she’d grabbed into Xiangling’s pouch.
Even in the low, amber light, the fact that she’s blushing might be obvious. Hopefully Xiangling is too focused on her new ingredients to notice, though?
“Is there… anything else I can do to assist you with dinner tonight?” Not that she minds watching (in fact, she’s found that it helps her relax, in a way), but… it feels right to offer a helping hand. Especially since finding the peppers managed to take up so much of their time.
